While watching a particularly emotive scene in which McNulty tells D'Angelo's mum, "Honestly? I was looking for someone who cared...", I (much like every other Wire puller I assume) felt her pain and sympathised a mother losing her son. However, the heart-rending distress is short-lived if you reimagine the scene being played out with Shrek's bride* Princess Fiona in the role of Brianna Barksdale.
